Spider Conch Shells

Strombidae

Bold, heavy shells with a rounded body and a flared lip that extends into long, curved spines, giving the shell its distinctive spider or hand-like shape. The exterior ranges from pale cream and soft apricot to rich chestnut and deep brown, marked with streaks, speckles and creamy white spots. The wide opening inside is glossy and smooth, in warm peach, orange and blush pink. Each shell is cleaned and sorted by size, and spine count, shape and colour vary naturally from piece to piece. Their sculptural form suits shelf and tabletop displays, collector sets, aquarium décor, shadow boxes, and coastal interiors. Spines are delicate, so shells are carefully wrapped for shipping.
